AVT, a provider of print inspection, print process control, and quality assurance based in Israel, has announced that Walter Nackaerts will head the company’s European operations as president. He will be based in Mechelen, Belgium.
Mr Nackaerts’ 25 years of experience at multinational companies in the printing and healthcare industries will be valuable in AVT’s undertakings.
AVT has engaged in several high-profile installations and partnerships of late, including a strategic alliance with leading solutions provider Erhardt+Leimer to provide a wider range of integrated automation solutions for the printing and converting industries.

Mr Nackaerts’ track record started with Xerox where he accrued a wealth of experience in sales, marketing and service in the European marketplace, eventually gaining appointment as head of the company’s development center for digital printing solutions in the UK.
Most recently, he became the Managing Director of Emerging Markets for Agfa Graphics where he was responsible for go-to-market strategies, sales and service for the newspaper, commercial, packaging, and sign & display sectors. Before that, he was Head of Global Sales & Service at Agfa Healthcare Imaging, where he was instrumental to the business’ worldwide success – particularly its impressive expansion in China – as well as the design and roll-out of a new portfolio of direct radiology solutions for parent company Agfa Healthcare.
Jaron Lotan, CEO of AVT said: “Having Walter Nackaerts as a new member of the management team at AVT strengthens our executive focus to drive business and capture the growth opportunities within the European, Russian, Baltics and French speaking African countries. I wish Walter success in this role and welcome him to the AVT family.”
Mr Nackaerts graduated from the University College IHAM in Antwerp, Belgium as an Industrial Engineer in Electronics and Informatics. He completed his academic background at the University of Brussels, Belgium with a postgraduate in Master of Management, and at the Business School INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France, where he completed the Xerox Senior Management Program.
