Ingredion receives Seven-Star Award

Ingredion Incorporated was a recipient of the Seven-Star Award, a food industry awards programme in China, organised by Ecolab and China Business News, with technical support from the Chinese Institute of Science and Food Technology. The ingredients company was recognised for its outstanding contributions to food safety and public health, at the ceremony held in 24 September 2013.

“We’re very honoured to be recognised again for our efforts toward food safety and public health in China. Our products are widely used in food manufacturing and food service, so we1ve always adopted a ‘zero risk’ attitude towards food safety,” said Oon Soon-Keat, senior director, Strategic Development, Food Ingredient Solutions, Greater China and Korea. 

A panel consisting of food safety experts, government officials, and scholars evaluated all participating companies over a four-month period. Ingredion was the only food ingredient company that received the award.
