This Spring, Dr.Hauschka Skin Care will introduce five new lipstick shades, the Inner Glow collection, formulated certified organic castor seed oil.Since 2005, the brand has been working with an Indian non-governmental organization comprised of ecologically minded farmers to produce this oil.

This cooperative effort has contributed to rebuilding the arid Kutch region of Northern India, which had been devastated by an earthquake in 2001.Today, 140 farmers have been organically certified, ensuring themselves a continual source of income and gaining financial independence through a guaranteed purchase price that is 15-18% higher than market price.

Used in the lipstick formulas, the certified organic oil has moisturizing properties to leave the skin soft and supple, said the company.It also has a "barrier" function to provide protection against environmental aggressors. From rose crystal to pink topaz to red quartz, with just a touch, lips look fresh, vital and appealing, giving expression to an inner glow.

This first-of-its-kind oil is also found in the formulas of other popular Dr. Hauschka products including the deodorants, lip balm, lip care stick, and all the aromatherapy baths.
