RPC Barrier Containers’ Shake Me multilayer plastic pot extends the shaker pack principle to pasta dishes.

Recently awarded the Best Convenience or On-the-Go Packaging at the prestigious World Food Innovation Awards, the pack contains a sauce topped with pasta, which is then microwaved and shaken for instant enjoyment. The pasta and sauce are kept separate until the last moment to preserve the texture of the pasta.
The Shake Me, developed for the pasta range from Soulié Restauration, comprises a thermoformed PP/EVOH/PP 590ml multilayer pot from RPC Bebo Plastik and an injection-molded PP lid from RPC Bramlage. The pack, which has an ambient shelf life of 18 months, includes a fork underneath for on-the-go consumption. The lid uses a bayonet system with two closed positions, one to seal the pack after filling and while on the shelf, and another for reheating. It has 52 small holes to release steam during microwaving.
