Kline consultant Shilpi Mehrotra explored regional findings "The Three Worlds Of Specialty Actives: China, Europe and the United States" at this year's in-cosmetics Asia.
Ms Mehrotra cited these consumer trends as drivers: consumers tend to cross shop; masks, peels and oils prosper with consumers interest to DIY treatment; and growing consumer interest in natural-positioned products.
Among the product trends that continue to be promising are anti-ageing, multifunctional, BB and CC, she said.
Anti-ageing remains the driving force, encompassing products to provide radiance, skin firming, brightening, color correction and wrinkle reduction. Diversified product offerings with multi-functional benefits will continue to grow, BB products proliferate, and CC product up-and-coming, Ms Mehrotra explained.
