Intertek acquires FSA for Sub-Saharan Africa

QUALITY solutions provider Intertek has acquired Food Safety Assessment  (FSA)  based  in Johannesburg, South Africa. The acquisition gains for FSA clients a portfolio of expert food and food packaging testing, inspection and certification services from Intertek. At the same time, FSA’s network and services will support Intertek clients with their food quality and auditing needs in Sub-Saharan Africa.

FSA will deliver accredited certifications in the region, including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000,  HACCP,  ISO 9001,  as well as Good Catering Practices, Workplace Conditions Assessment. These and  other services will enable the food industry to increase quality assurance and visibility along the supply chain, both within individual companies and between different trading parties.
