
ST. GALLEN, SWITZERLAND--INVISTA Technologies S.à r.l. has chosen Ariha Chemicals Private Limited to acquire license of INVISTA’s R2R Technology. Ariha’s project concentrates on recovering benzoic acid and other materials from a residue waste stream and will be installed Taloja, Maharashtra State, India. It will have an initial design capacity of 35,000MT annually. The project represents the first stand-alone R2R facility licensed by INVISTA.
INVISTA’s R2R Technology is a process that recovers valuable chemicals in the residues streams from multiple PTA plants.
Ariha Chemicals Private Limited is launching a new project dedicated to the recovery of valuable chemicals from the residues generated by PTA plants. In phase 1 of the project, Ariha plans to recover chemicals such as Benzoic Acid, Terephthalic Acid, Isophthalic Acid and catalyst metals from the residues. Ariha’s new plant is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2014.
