Iran to boost steelproduction to over 45M tonnes

The Iranian Mines and Mining Indus tr ies Development and Renovation Organisation (IMIDRO) announced that the country plans to increase its steel output capacity to 45.36 million tonnes by March 2015, Fars news has reported. Iran produced 14.463 million tonnes of crude steel in 2012, and was named the first largest producer of crude steel in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the World Steel Association (WSA).
