Iran produced 80,700 tonnes of lead and zinc during March 21-Sept. 22, 2013, indicating a 3.5% rise compared with the corresponding figure of last year. About 14,400 tonnes of lead and zinc ingots were produced during August 23-Sept. 22, while the figure stood at 14,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.
In the first six months of the current year, 71,200 tonnes of zinc ingots were produced, showing a 2.4% rise compared with the corresponding figure of last year. Lead ingot production reached 9,500 tonnes in the first half of this year from 9,400 tonnes in the same period of last year, showing a 1.1% increase.
