Ishida open subsidiaries in Indonesia and Viet Nam

Packaging and weighing company Ishida Co, Ltd announced that it opened subsidiaries in Indonesia and Viet Nam, where was the first Japanese manufacturer of weighing and packaging machinery to establish representative offices in 2010 and 2012, respectively. From now on Ishida will commence the sale and maintenance service from the close distance to meet the needs of customers in Indonesia and Viet Nam.

Ishida decided to upgrade the representative offices to subsidiaries ahead of the schedule, because in both countries, market is expanding rapidly and large increase in sales can be expected.

Owing to changes in food culture due to the economic growth, demand for processed foods, such as confectionary, instant noodles, seasonings, but also for the quality and safety is significantly increasing in Viet Nam. In addition, growth has been expected as a central base for agriculture and fisheries processing. Given these market conditions, foreign business investment from United States, Europe and Asia is rapidly expanding in the country.

Indonesia is an energetic country with a stable population and economy growth, and its domestic demand in food production is expanding day by day. Accordingly, Ishida set up a new branch office in Surabaya, which is located in eastern Indonesia and known as a major industrial area.

Ishida will introduce the full line-up of products, including the major product, multihead weighers, VFFS bagmakers, X-ray inspection systems, metal detectors and checkweighers.

In addition to Indonesia and Viet Nam, Ishida  has established subsidiaries in China, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.
