Due to the Senkaku Islands dispute, the operations of the Japanese automotive industry in Mainland China are downgraded significantly in 2012. However, certain automotive manufacturers responded that the situation is now gradually getting better. For example, according to some automotive accessory manufacturers, the dispute seems to fade and might be completely gone in 2013. In addition, with new orders from European and American companies, some accessory manufacturers boldly anticipate that they might have the chance to restore their usual 20% growth as before.
Mainland China is now the biggest market for the automotive industry, so it naturally attracts attention from European, American, Japanese, and Korean automotive companies. Chinese domestic automotive manufacturers and accessory manufacturers anticipated that the industry will rebound after 2012 and will blossom in the first quarter in 2013. Therefore, many European, American, and Japanese companies hold optimistic vision towards Chinese market. For example, Honda expects the industry to improve at the end of 2013, Nissan is expecting the recovery trend and Toyota feels that there will be a recovery in the spring of 2013. They are all preparing diligently to meet the domestic needs of China in 2013.
