JBT lands $7mn juice processing contract in ME

A MAJOR customer in the Middle East has awarded JBT (John Bean Technologies Corporation) a contract to supply and integrate a new juice processing line for the production of citrus fruit products.

The contract which is valued at more than $7 million will include provision of juice extractors on a long-term lease.

“We are very pleased with the confidence customers are expressing in JBT's leading liquid foods technologies," stated Steve Smith, president, JBT FoodTech. “This project is another excellent example of JBT partnering with our global customers and supporting the development of emerging regional markets.”

The project will be operational by Q1 2016.
