Jianghuai Auto to triple production capacity in 2011

Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., the second-largest light truck manufacturer in China, has started building its second passenger car plant, said Li Jianhua, deputy general manager of the marketing division of Jianghuai Automobile Sales Co Ltd. The new plant, which is expected to start operation in October 2011, will be able to product 600,000 units of vehicles per year, and then the firm's total capacity will increase to 900,000 units annually. Li added that the Anhui-based automaker will mainly produce mid-class models at the second plant, including the Heyue 2 and Heyue 3 cars.
