Jordan next stop for Dairy Queen

SKM Franchise Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of El Rancho Group in Garland, Texas, has agreed to develop DQ Grill & Chill® and DQ® Treat locations in Jordan. These will be the first locations in the country for the Dairy Queen system.

Led by the Nafal brothers, SKM will open 10 locations in the first five years. One DQ Grill & Chill restaurant will open in 2015. The restaurant will serve burgers, sandwiches, salads, and other popular DQ meals, while DQ Treat stores will have soft-serve products such as signature Blizzard® Treats, soft-serve cones with the curl on top, and sundaes.

Jordan is the latest country with the rights to develop the Dairy Queen brand outside of the US and Canada. The Dairy Queen system has more than 6,400 locations, of which 1,400 are located North America.
