K 2013: Addivant introduced customised solutions for sustainable end-applications

As a young and innovative company, Addivant? participated in K2013 with a collection of value added product innovations and services focusing on global megatrends of sustainable shelter, potable water access, reliable power, food safety and fuel efficiency.

Addivant's solutions embrace the performance and productivity requirements of plastic processors and polymer producers. The excellent powder-free additive solutions bring excellent physical properties that allow for greater manufacturing productivity, including improved health and safety, reduced maintenance, and better throughput in a variety of plastic extrusion applications. The performance of Addivant’s materials offers lighter weight, better durability, together with more sustainable end-applications.

One of the highlights at the K is the WESTON? 705, which is a new, higher performing liquid phosphate which is nonylphenol-free and powder free, eliminating handling and delivering more precise dosing. Mr. Peter Smith, President and CEO of Addivant said that the company works with the most leading companies and sees its innovative products successfully commercialised. “We are working with leading companies and target a commercial launch worldwide by the second half of 2014,” according to Mr. Smith.

Products representing these benefits at K 2013 included new solutions from Addivant’s advantaged platforms: ANOX? and LOWINOX? phenolic antioxidants; ALKANOX?, WESTON? and ULTRANOX? phosphite antioxidants; OCTAMINE? and NAUGARD? amines; NAUGARD? thioesters; ANOX? and NDB? blends; LOWILITE? light stabilizers; POLYBOND? and ROYALTUF? polymer modifiers; NAUGARD? polymerization inhibitors; and NAUGARD? rubber chemicals and intermediates.

Expansion has also been part of Addivant’s agenda for 2014. “We have been enhancing our customisation capability through our new facilities in Saudi Arabia, Korea and China,” according to Mr. Smith.
