At K Show in Dusseldorf (October, 16 ÷ 23 - 2013) Dolci Extrusion (Hall 16 A05/A17) will display the new stretch film winder for the production of either Hand Rolls on 2” cores, or Machine Rolls & Jumbo Rolls (up to 420 mm diameter) on 3” cores.
The stretch film market is becoming increasingly demanding for the production of very low gauge films having very good mechanical properties and good optical appeal. For this reason the winders must run smoothly at higher speeds in order to reach a reasonable output of the cast line. The new Dolci winder has been designed to achieve a speed of 800 m/minute.
In the design phase, Dolci has considered the customer’s need to be able to follow the market trends, by introducing a versatile machine that can produce either the 50 Kg Jumbo Rolls, machine Rolls (15/20 Kg), or even the Hand & Cling Rolls wound on “thin cores” for film lengths lower than 200 meters on 2” shafts.
This new winder, that at the K-Show will work in-line with a 5 layer 2 meter cast line reaching an output up to 1350 Kg/hour, represents the evolution of the top sold “Rotowind” winder, that was designed for Hand & Machine Rolls in 2008 by Dolci.
The new Multiwind is designed on the principle of contact/axial winding mode with 4 spindles and
a roll change cycle of 17 seconds. Particularly interesting and totally innovative is the cores loading system. The storage of cores is designed for 100 pieces 2” or 75 pieces 3”. The storage capacity can be easily increased upon request. The cores are loaded in the change position through a mechanical system which is extremely reliable.
This winder has been designed for the production of thin films of 8/10 My at high speed and, in order to achieve such a performance some cylinders are driven by vector motors; 700 m/minute is the real production speed. These winders can be offered on 2 meter, 1 meter and also on 3 meter cast film lines (2X1500 mm).
