The consultancy firm’s newly appointed managers, Phil Steggals and Patrick Young share their vision for research impact

Kadence Singapore, a leading market research consultancy firm in the APAC region, welcomed Phil Steggals as Managing Director and Patrick Young as Insights Director. The company’s ethos is to provide Insights Worth Sharing, based on solid research and presented in an interactive fashion. The appointments of Steggals and Young will be key to the firm’s plan to expand its vision and to raise the impact of research in the region.

Mr Steggals, based in Singapore since 2011 as Insights Director, has driven insight generation and market research for a number of global projects with prominent clients across Asia. With his extensive experience and professional knowledge in providing clients with actionable analysis, Mr Steggals will lead Kadence Singapore to be the trusted market research partner by top brands and companies in Asia.

Kadence Singapore strengthened its management team through the appointment of Phil Steggals as Managing Director (right) and Patrick Young as Insights Director (left).

Outlining his plan for the company, Mr Steggals commented: “Our focus throughout the rest of 2016 is to introduce new services and approaches to our clients in order to help promote ad-hoc, actionable insight into the upper levels of management. With the strong team that we already have in place and with some key new hires, our clients will benefit from joined up thinking at every stage of the research process.”

Patrick Young, with over nine years of global research experience across Europe, Australia and Singapore, has worked with a number of industry leaders, including Unilever, GE, Nestlé, Expedia, Qantas, and Tiger Airlines. With his expertise in conducting strategic research and a passion for sharing knowledge, he joins the Insight Leadership team at Kadence Singapore.

Commenting on the company’s approach, he said: “Kadence’s specialty is that we go beyond conducting the research and crunching the numbers – to ensure we also provide the story behind every project. We do it by using a variety of visual formats that can actually be comprehended, utilized and shared by our clients.”

Kadence has seen solid growth in recent years, cementing itself at the heart of the research community in Singapore. Testament to its forward-thinking approach was its winning of the Gold Award at the 2015 Sparks Awards for Media Excellence in the Best Insights and Research Project by a Media Owner category. This came as a result of a successful project with BBC World Singapore.
