SHANGHAI – WeChat-based makeup brand, KanS, has gained new investors with a fresh infusion of RMB 400 million from new shareholders CITIC Capital, New Alliance Capital and former Shanghai Jahwa general manager Ge Wenyao. The announcement was made on WeChat Moments by KanS CEO Lv Yixiong.
KanS, founded in 2002, is among the Top 10 brands in China’s online cosmetics market, according to China Internet Watch. In addition to e-commerce and WeChat channels, the brand is also sold in traditional retail shops like supermarkets, cosmetics stores and shopping malls.
