
Outstanding plastics and rubber products, raw materials and technologies are being showcased by leading brands in Korea and around the world under one roof from March 12 to 16 during KOPLAS 2013 (The 22nd Korea International Plastics & Rubber Show). The show's organisers, Korea E & Ex Inc. and Korea Plastics Processing Machine Industry Cooperative host KOPLAS 2013 for 5 days at KINTEX exhibition centre in Goyang, South Korea.
Representatives from various organisations were present during the opening ceremony, indicating strong support from both business and government sectors.
KOPLAS 2013 is held concurrently with International Korea Mold & Die Show (INTERMOLD KOREA 2013) as well as Heating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition 9HARFKO Show 2013). These three co-located shows serve as important platform for both local and international companies setting their sight on Korea’s dynamic industrial sector.
This year's edition has a total of 848 exhibitors, occupying 3,100 booths (53,541 sq.m.), from 28 countries. The organisers expect the show to attract more than 70,000 local visitors and 2,000 foreign buyers to break previous records.
Korea’s plastics industry has been successfully adopting advanced IT and eco-friendly technologies. The industry has been bringing the latest developments in technologies and plastic processing. KOPLAS 2013 is expected to surpass the previous editions in terms of size, attendance, scope and variety of products on exhibit.
Major exhibits at KOPLAS 2013 are raw materials and auxiliary materials, semi-finished and finished products, processing machinery, post processing machinery, moulds and dies, ancillary equipment and parts, test and measuring equipment, as well as packaging and printing machinery.
