KOREA PACK 2013 all set for May opening

The Korea Int’l Packaging Exhibition 2013 is the main event for the country's packaging industry, scheduled for 28-31 May at KINTEX.

KOREA PACK 2013 is the country’s representative show on packaging equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and electronics industries. It runs concurrently with two other shows – COPHEX for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries and KOREA LAB for laboratory and analytical equipment – from 28 to 31 May 2013 at KINTEX.

The fair will showcase products from more than 800 international companies. Recently the KINTEX exhibition hall has been expanded to 50,000m2.

Demand from primary and secondary industries in South Korea keeps the packaging industry robust, with total sales figures amounting to 29 trillion (KRW). Prospects of scale are larger than both the software (20 trillion KRW) and the bio (15 trillion KRW) industries. Moreover, global sales are expected to increase to 43 trillion (KRW) by 2015.
