SEOUL – The male sex hormone secretion in men’s body decreases when they turn 40. Reduced amount of male sex hormone means reduced sexual desire and bad sexual function. At the same time, the number of sexual intercourse constantly goes down, threatening couples’ relationships.
Male menopause can also lead to stress, lower confidence and depression in men due to their sexual dysfunction. Therefore, proper measures and treatments are in desperate need.
The most effective solution for this problem is ‘penile implants’, said Dr. Moo Yeon Lee of Adams Urology Clinic.
Penile implants refer to implanting artificial prosthesis into a man’s penis. It allows men to get an erection whenever they want. Moreover, unlike the previous orally administered or injected medications, the surgery doesn’t cause complications and is semi-permanent, too. Inflatable prosthesis, in particular, is so natural looking that even a partner of the patient cannot easily notice.
“Penile implants don’t cause any feeling of irritation or discomfort. Currently, as much as 80% of patients of erectile dysfunction get penile implants and 98% of them are satisfied with the result,” said Dr Lee, who has performed the surgery over 4,000 times so far.
“If you have decided to get the penile implants, make sure that the clinic of your choice has a certificate for the surgery,” he added.

Adams Urology Clinic is the first erectile dysfunction clinic in Asia that received the ‘Global erectile dysfunction center certificate’ and ‘Asia-Pacific Number One Certificate’ from AMS.
Dr. Lee of Adams Clinic is a renowned doctor in not only Korea, but also Russia, Japan and China.
He is now an advisor for an erectile dysfunction clinic in Beverly Hills, LA. In 2011, Dr Lee signed a contract for partnership with Cleveland Urology Clinic (Dr. Drogo Montague) in the U.S. in terms of medical technique and patient exchange.
