KraussMaffei still on a successful course with its WinCap mould carriers as it recently delivered its 50th machine to WinCap facility. WinCap Technology is an automotive component supplier in China. KraussMaffei engineered the first electric mould carriers for the automotive industry around six years ago. Over 100 machines are now being used successfully throughout the world, for example to encapsulate windows and glass covers, but also to backfoam interior trims and other automotive components. The new WinCap mould carrier generation, which was substantially revamped in 2013, has been popular. The first four of these mould carriers were scheduled to be shipped to China together with the 50th machine for encapsulating windows. The upgraded mould carriers provide machine operators with additionally improved ergonomics and user-friendliness since all mould carrier movements and mould functions can be freely programmed via a touch panel. Three set positions of the lifting frame can be used for different mould heights. Large moulds can also be moved quickly and securely by using a flat belt with a deflection roller for the lifting function. Workpieces can now be fixed even more easily to the carrier. The clamping force is generated pneumatically over the entire mold fixing area. The standardised modular design basically ensures short assembly and commissioning times. www.kraussmaffei.com
