KRISPY Kreme (NYSE:KKD) and Express Food Group (EFG) Co. Ltd have recently inked a development agreement to open 10 Krispy Kreme shops throughout Cambodia over the next five years.
EPG, which was established in 2004 and is a member of Bangkok-based RMA Group, has 42 restaurants of different concepts throughout Cambodia under the Quick Service and Casual Restaurants categories. It has 15 food and beverage outlets in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap international airports, and employs more than 1,200 Cambodians.
According to Dan Beem, Krispy Kreme’s senior vice president and president – International, “This agreement will further strengthen Krispy Kreme's brand position throughout Asia and will enable us to bring our mission of touching and enhancing lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme to the people of Cambodia. One of the keys to the success of Krispy Kreme in any country is working with top-quality franchisees, and EFG is an experienced company dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.”
Jean-Boris Roux, regional director of RMA Group’s food division, said: “We are very proud and excited to introduce Krispy Kreme to the Cambodian market.
