KSA food imports higher in H1 2015

FROM January to July 2015, imports of food into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia grew 1.2% to reach over 6.9 million tonnes, according to a report in ameinfo.com.

Based on data from the Saudi Ports Authority, foodstuff entering the main port, Jeddah Islamic Port, in July this year jumped 8.5% as compared to the same period last year.  It recorded an increase of from 973,700 tonnes to one million tonnes. (Photo © Geotrac | Dreamstime Stock Photos)
