KSA food sales to reach $70bn

FOOD consumption in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is rising to an all-time high, forcing government to create food security measures. Events such as the Saudi Agriculture 2013 and Saudi Agro-Food 2013 in September, are being organised to present technologies to help the Kingdom meet its food demand. According to reports in Arab News, food and agriculture markets will maintain growth at 18.5%. Food sales, which make up nearly 50% of retail market, are forecast to reach $70 billion by 2016.
