LANXESS appoints new Country Representative for Singapore

LANXESS has appointed a new Country Representative for Singapore - Fiona Wu, effective May 1, 2014. In her capacity as Singapore country lead, Ms. Wu will focus on areas such as safety, compliance, operational excellence, developing local talent, as well as leading LANXESS’ corporate social responsibility. She will also support business growth in the region and engage with relevant stakeholders such as local government officials, trade associations and industry partners.

She replaces Par Singh, who served as the company’s Country Representative and Site Manager for its butyl rubber manufacturing plant since September 2013. Singh will be based in Germany to lead the group function Innovation & Technology effective May 1, 2014. His responsibilities as Site Manager for Singapore will be assumed by Mr Hans-Juergen Mick, Head of Global Manufacturing for the business unit Butyl Rubber. Ms. Wu brings to the position her solid experience in human resources, having served as the Global Human Resources Business Partner of its largest business unit Butyl Rubber, based in Singapore since 2012. Before moving to Singapore, she held the post of Director of Human Resources at LANXESS China since 2004.
