Anti-Aging Color Cosmetic Treatment US 8,298,555 B2; Discovery Partners, LLC, Frisco, TX, has patented a therapeutic color cosmetic composition for topical application to human skin or lips.

The color cosmetic composition has a pH  of  from  approximately  7.2  to approximately 7.6 and consists essentially of a liposome dispersion having a pH of from 7.5 to 8.5. It contains submicron liposomal therapeutic units (that contains an aqueous, non-acidic solution of a water-soluble botanical copper-antioxidant complex, and at least one skin penetration-enhancing ingredient) and a solid, semi-solid or liquid color cosmetic vehicle containing at least two cosmetic colorants selected from the group consisting of inorganic pigments, organic colorants, and synthetic or natural pearlescent pigments.

Allergan Patents Means To Enhance Hair Growth   US Patent No. 8,298,518 B2; Allergan, Inc., Irvine, CA, has been awarded a patent for a method of increasing at least one attribute selected from the group consisting of thickness of hair, conversion of intermediate to terminal hair, number of hair, rate of hair growth of hair and density of hair.

It is comprised of topically administering an effective amount of bimatoprost with a second therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of estradiol, oxandrolone, minoxidil, procipia and agents which block the  conversion  of  testosterone  to dihydrotestosterone.

Shiseido Patents Cleansing Cosmetic Composition   US Patent No. 8,298,557 B2; Shiseido Company, Ltd., Tokyo, has been awarded a US patent for a cleansing cosmetic composition.

The formulation contains silicone oil, volatile hydrocarbon oil, dihydric glycol, polyoxyethylene glyceryl monoisostearate and water. The weight ratio between the silicone oil and the volatile hydrocarbon oil falls within the range of 0.3 to 3 and the cleansing  cosmetic composition  has a viscosity of 100 to 500 mPa s at 25.

The silicone oil is selected from the group consisting of cyclic polysiloxane and phenylmethylpolysiloxane while the volatile hydrocarbon oil is a mixture of isododecane and isohexadecane.

Kao Patents Deodorant Particle ·US Patent No. 8,298,520 B2; Kao Corporation, Tokyo, has patented a deodorant particle having a BET specific surface area of 10m 2 /g or more that is obtained by copolymerizing monomers comprising a crosslinkable vinyl monomer and a vinyl monomer having a heteroaromatic ring. The deodorant particle further contains a metal ion. A proportion of the crosslinkable vinyl monomer in the monomer system is from 20 to 98% by mass. The crosslinkable vinyl monomer is selected  from  the  group  consisting  of divinylbenzene, trivinylbenzene and ethylene
glycol di(meth)acrylate, and wherein the vinyl monomer having a heteroaromatic ring is selected from the group consisting of 2-vinylpyridine,  4-vinylpyridine,  1-vinylimidazole and 2-vinylpyrimidine.

Chinese Firm Patents Hair Coloring Products·US Patent No. 8,313,537 B2; Natural Medicine Institute of Zhejiang Yangsheng-tang Co. Ltd., Zhejiang China, has been awarded a US patent for a mordant useful in a hair dye product. It is comprised of an effective amount of a ferrous salt and an antioxidant, according to the patent literature.
