US Patent No. 8,992,897 B2; ELC Management LLC, New York has patented method of lightening or depigmenting the skin. It is comprised of topically applying to skin a composition that contains approximately 0.00005% to 0.5% of omeprazole or omeprazole sulfide and a chemical or physical sunscreen agent.

US Patent No. 8,992,895 B2; L’Oréal, Paris, has patented a sunscreen composition comprising at least one UV filter; at least one booster; at least one thermosensitive polymer wherein the at least one thermosensitive polymer is bis-methoxy PEG 13 PEG-438/PPG-110 SMDI copolymer; and at least one wetting agent.
L’Oréal Patents Gel with Superabsorbent Polymers
US Patent No. 8,940,680 B2; L’Oréal has patented a composition in the form of a gel that is comprised of water; an alkyl polyglucoside foaming surfactant having an HLB value of greater than 15 and optionally, a betaine derivative having an HLB value of greater than 15; at least one superabsorbent polymer; and an anionic surfactant.
AP and Deodorant Formulated with Caffeine
US Patent No. 8,992,898 B2; Shannon Elizabeth Klingman of Chaska, MN has developed a personal care composition for reducing body odor. It is comprised of caffeine or salts thereof and mandelic acid in a suitable carrier for application to the skin, zirconium and aluminum antiperspirant compounds. The composition is effective in reducing perspiration and can be either a deodorant stick or a roll-on.
