US Patent No. 8,759,273 B2; Reckitt Benckiser N.V. of Belgium has been awarded a patent for a liquid laundry detergent composition with a thickening system comprising a carboxylic acid/carboxylate polymer and a copolymer of polydimethyldiallylammoniumchloride and acrylamide. 

Ecolab Patents Treatment for Sunscreen Stains
US Patent No. 8,759,272 B2; Ecolab USA has patented a method of laundering an article that has come in contact with sunscreen components. The method entails pwashing the article that has come in contacted with a triglyceride sunscreen component; rinsing the article; drying the article; and a phosphonic acid chelating agent to competitively chelate with the sunscreen components to reduce or eliminate strong metal complexes formed by the sunscreen components, during or prior to or after the article is laundered in the washing step. The effective amount of chelating agent is approximately 350 to about 600 ppm.

Cleaning Composition with Biodegradable Abrasives
US Patent No. 8,703,685 B2; The Procter & Gamble Company has patented a liquid cleaning and/or cleansing composition comprising biodegradable abrasive cleaning particles, water, a suspending aid and a surfactant. The abrasive cleaning particles are comprised of biodegradable polylactic acid.
