Lebanese brand, a member of Mediterranean Food Alliance

THE Lebanese brand Al Wadi Al Akhdar is now a member of the Mediterranean Foods Alliance, an organisation founded by the US-based Oldways. The alliance aims to generate awareness of the Mediterranean diet, which is considered as one of the healthiest in the world. It counts Barilla and Pompeian amongst its members. Al Wadi Al Akhdar produces hummus, tahini, olive oil, pomegranate molasses and chickpeas. Many of its export products have received the Med Mark certificate, a designation of healthy Mediterranean food products.
