As Libyans held their first national election since the fall of Col. Muammar Gaddafi in July this year, hope for a fresh beginning springs eternal. This is only the start of the new face of Libya which possesses immense potential of diversifying and transforming their economy into becoming a super power.Having identified these opportunities in newly liberated Libya, Fleming Gulf launches The Libya Summit on 20 - 22 November 2012 in Istanbul, the Republic of Turkey. The Libya Summit aims to bring together eminent industry leaders, global policy makers, diplomats, stakeholders, and development professionals of Libya, to deliberate the transformation of Libya as a model of stability and economic excellence. Some of the speakers at the summit are leaders in various sectors like oil and petroleum, banking and financial sectors, aviation and defence, real estate, transport, telecommunication and information technology. Libya offers a range of opportunities to businesses. Foreign investments and collaborations would bring about a great stability to the economy as once oil production is stabilized and infrastructure is rebuilt, the other areas of the economy will rapidly become open to investments. The business opportunities will be of considerable importance and the potential investments would be at par with the rest of the world.
There are imminent speakers and panellists from various organisations participating in the summit. They include the founder of the Democratic Party of Libya, Mr Ahmed Shebani, Program Manager of the Libya Stabilization team, Dr. Faisel Gergab, the Chief e-Government Advisor at the Prime Minister's Office - Republic of Turkey, Dr Ramazan Albebas, the head of Oil and Gas Investment, Barclays Natural Resource Investments. Prof. Dr S.P. Bindra, Chief Advisor and Founder of the Libyan Sustainable Business Council will also be present. Other local delegates include Raed Safadi, Deputy Director for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Saif Al Jaibeji, Chairman, Iraq Health, Abdul Rahman Al Ageli, Vice President, Libyan Youth Forum, Reida El Oakley, Libya Representative, WHO - Geneva.
