SHANGHAI – city’super, the one-of-a-kind upscale mega lifestyle specialty store, is celebrating two years in operation in Shanghai’s ifc mall in June. The creative retailer has carefully tailored its Shanghai store outlet for the customers of the city, creating a unique 2,700 square meter one-stop-shopping experience.
With city’super popularity still growing, group president Thomas Woo has announced the opening of its second store in Shanghai.
“Across the whole company, 2011-12 has been great for our growth, and the first two years in Shanghai have been a real whirlwind for city’super,” said Mr Woo. “We have had to learn as we go along sure, but we have grown up as our customers have grown to know us more. The first year we were new to customers in Shanghai and they of course were new to us, but now we are established in Shanghai with some really promising results, it’s only logical that we expand in the city.”
Due to open its doors in December, the brand new store will be a flagship tenant of the new iAPM Mall on Huaihai Road, right in the heart of Shanghai’s shopping district.
“The new store is in a fantastic location in the heart of downtown Shanghai, a great opportunity for the whole of Shanghai to experience city’super. As a city, Shanghai has seen an amazing last 20 years of change that cannot compare to anywhere else in the world, and city’super is proud to be part of it.”
Focus on safety
As the company expands, city’super is also making sure that its products are the finest and safest in China. Prime examples are the company’s approach to milk and oysters in China. With milk often spoken about in China in regards to the addition of hormones, Mr Woo ensured that strict processes are in place to make sure the quality is the finest available.
“The key with milk is to source what is only produced in smButy Niemowl?ce
