Liquid cooling heat exchanger for challenging environments

AMETEK Rotron has announced a liquid cooling heat exchanger assembly capable of dissipating more than 10KW of heat in shipboard and industrial applications. The compact unit is also suitable for submarine heat exchangers, equipment rack cooling, electronics, defense systems, military weapon systems, and radio, radar, and aircraft applications.

The assembly uses copper nickel heat exchanger cores paired with Rotron MAXAX vaneaxial blowers to enable thermal dissipation from the electronic rack to the water supply. Models integrating power inverters allow use of 400Hz AC or DC fans and blowers for greater volumetric flow and pressure even without increasing product dimensions.

The product is enclosed in a ruggedized 6U (10.5”) aluminum chassis suitable for harsh environments and can be easily mounted on standard 19” (48.26 cm) racks used for many kinds of electronic equipment. It can be installed with a liquid cooling loop.
