The 20th Southern African International Trade Exhibition (SAITEX) expects over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 45 countries. Thousands of products will be on showcase, when the event opens on 30 June to 2 July. This year, companies from Lithuania and Nepal will be attending for the first time.
“More than 15,000 business people visit the show each year,” says John Thomson, managing director at Exhibition Management Services, organisers of SAITEX. “SAITEX creates the conduit for businesses of any size, to access new suppliers, new products and new technology. Furthermore, the event also develops networking opportunities and the potential for gaining new business partners on a local and international level.”
The expo is backed by numerous associated activities to further encourage business development,” explains Mr Thomson. “A unique component of SAITEX is the online business matchmaking which allows business owners, visitors and exhibitors to arrange actual meetings six weeks before the event. Additionally, China and Mauritius are hosting business breakfasts with the aim of developing contacts and establishing new markets for products new to Africa.”
