Logopress launches fast, easy-to-use nesting module

FRANCE’s Logopress Corp., through its Wisconsin-based North American distributor and technical center Accurate Die Design Inc., has recently released the Logopress3 Nesting.

Fully integrated in SolidWorks, this affordable, fast, and easy-to-use product is suitable for many kinds of parts and industries. It supports a wide range of applications, including sheet metal, cloth, textile industry, plastics, adhesives, aerospace, leather (shoes), composites, inflatable objects, food industry, packing, packaging, and shipbuilding toys.

The Logopress3 Nesting starts with either a multibody part file produced through SolidWorks or imported from another CAD system or with individual part files that are in an assembly. It can quickly nest the parts based on the user setting after the logical parameters have been set. It can set a sheet size to nest on or set only the width, angular control, and constraint of parts. It provides options to nest into openings and to generate automatic reports.

The product does not require users to undergo formal training. The module is very useful for die designers in building Wire EDM burn blocks or nesting various shaped sharpening shims for under die inserts. 

The Logopress3 Nesting is by default included in the Logopress3 Die Design package. It is also available as a SolidWorks add-on.

Logopress, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, focuses on the development of die design software for the tool and die industry.
