LUCAS Meyer Cosmetics has recently won two Innovation Zone silver awards at the 2015 in-cosmetics Barcelona. The company’s SWT-7TM won Silver in the Innovation Zone Best Active Ingredient category, while the Lecigel, with its Happiness in a Jar concept, grabbed Silver in the Innovation Zone Best Functional Ingredient.
Commenting on the awards, marketing director Isabelle Lacasse said, “We are very pleased with this recognition! It clearly shows our areas of expertise in the development and marketing of both active ingredients and functional ingredients. Great team, great work, great achievements!”
The SWT-7 anti-aging solution is an ultra-high tech active ingredient for the treatment of severe burn injuries. Drawing inspiration from reconstructive tissue engineering, it uses never-before-seen mechanism of action to yield smoother looking skin. It achieves this by blurring the appearance of vertical wrinkles, skin texture, lip contour wrinkles and roughness. It also reduces the migration of lipstick.
Lecigel adopts the Happiness in a Jar Concept, a result of various techniques developed by specialists in psychology and neuroscience to scientifically measure the pleasure that the ingredient induces upon application, to offer highly sensorial gel-cream textures. This enables cosmetics brands to deliver products yielding customer pleasure.
A business unit of Unipex Group, Lucas Meyer Cosmetics develops, manufactures, and markets innovative ingredients for the cosmetics and personal care industry. It has a team of scientists and sales and marketing professionals in Canada, France, Australia, Singapore, China, and the US.
