President Chuck Chen shared with us on his instant reflection on IMTS 2016 as well as the forum. He told us that there might be strategies for the Taiwan machine tool manufacturers and gear tool supplier in coming together to access the U.S. transmission market, which includes cooperation strategies. For example, the idea of combining Luren’s gear cutting tools with Tongtai’s machine tools to construct a high-end production line might be one of the possibilities to joint the strengths of Taiwanese machineries, for the welfare of the customers. 

 

The key areas that Luren targeted at the American market are gear manufacturers, transmission, electronic power system and gear reducer manufacturers. Dr. Gerald Kuo remarked on the continuous development that Luren is committed in. In short, the latest technology such as additive manufacturing, they are on the process of testing the feasibility of additive Carbide Hobs(s) – which would help them create a huger range of customers – from the higher-end to middle-and low end level in manufacturing. Dr. Gerald Kuo explained clearly that Luren’s Carbide Hobs(s) can substantially shorten the process from 90 days to one week, which would be very attractive for many users. Thus, detailed examinations and statistics on how the quality would compare to the original work pieces are still under experiment. But this certainly serves as one of the examples that Luren keep motivates itself, being a gear tool manufacturer who does not settle.
