In the "12th Five-Year Plan" (2011-2015) period, a series of supports is to be done in order to promote the use of new energy cars in public.

According to Mr. Zhen Zijian, vice director of the Ministry of Science and Technology, who is in charge of the key project of electric cars, said that the government will have a new city plan, including road, residence, power stations. The government will also stipulate new policies and provide guidelines to car manufacturers and related suppliers so as to promote the use of new energy cars.
