The shark360 is a patented measuring mechanism with face gear for precise non-lobing touch characteristics. The face gear performs off-centre probing as, for example, when using cranked styli, by providing a repeatable home position in the probe. The face gear is introduced between the stylus mounting disc and the counter bearing of the housing. When deflected, it moves a precision-guided pin up into the infrared light barrier, which then generates the trigger signal for measuring.
The TC53 is a modular system for specific measuring tasks and the TC54 is a compact standard probe. Benefits include: customized adaptations can be easily developed; pulling measurement due to shark360 measuring mechanism; precise non-lobing touch characteristics; no-wear, electronic measuring mechanism; extended battery life; robust design.
Another probe with the shark360 is the TC76. It is a cable system, electronic 25 mm touch probe for workpiece measurement and tool setting in grinding, turning and milling centers. Applications include: workpiece measurement and tool setting in grinding, turning and milling machines; pulling measurements with cranked styli; excentric measurements; compact machines. Benefits include: superior precision due to shark360; pulling measurements; precise non-lobing touch characteristics; measuring speed up to 2 m/min; no-wear, electronic measuring mechanism; high process reliability.
