METALEX 2014: FEMCO displays horizontal wheel turning lathes

FATEK Horizontal Wheel Turning Lathe WHL-55 from FEMCO is able to do bigger turning diameter than other competitors and it is suitable for generic models from 14’’ to 22’’. Our wheel turning lathe is trusted by main aluminium wheel factories in the world. X-axis travel: 340mm, Z-axis travel: 700mm, Max Swing over bed: 727mm, 45° Bed Design will improve chip removal during the wheel turning process. Special designs with casted X-slide way and machine body, high frequency thermal treatment, improved strength and resistance to wear for the slide way, higher turning performance. High performance AC servo motor drives the X/Z-axis for direct transmission system; beltless and gearless design to reduce backlash and vibration which can provide precision positioning of the working components.
