In the latest edition of their guide, France's most pre-eminent wine critics Michel Bettane & Thierry Desseauve, voted Michel Chapoutier as Personality of the Year 2014.
A wine lover at the head of a family estate in the Rhone Valley, Mr Chapoutier has vineyards in Hermitage, Roussillon, Alsace and Australia. He is a producer of six million bottles, a Terroir photographer and has been given the greatest number of wines with 100 points by US wine critic Robert Parker. Recently on the cover of the Wine Spectator magazine, Michel Chapoutier also appeared in a documentary "Fac & Spera" that has been translated into several languages.
The guide by Michel Bettane & Thierry Desseauve will be released on 29 August.
