Mondi integrates Nordenia operations

INTERNATIONAL packaging and paper producer Mondi Group acquired 99.93% of the outstanding share capital of Nordenia International AG in October 2012. Having fully completed the transaction, Mondi has begun setting up a new business unit, Mondi Consumer Packaging, which combines the operations of its Consumer Bags group with the newly acquired manufacturer. The new entity will be part of Mondi’s Europe and International division, and will be directed by Ralph Landwehr, former Nordenia CEO.

An innovative consumer packaging solutions and hygiene components supplier, Nordenia was acknowledged recently with the German Packaging Award for its Nor?Cell film, which is 40% lighter than conventional versions.
