Moon cake maker partners with Videojet

WITH an expanding overseas market for moon cakes, Shanghai XinHuaLou Food Co. has collaborated with Videojet Technologies Inc. for its coding and marking needs. The company invested in Videojet 1000 Line continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers to enhance its throughput.

“As our production volume increases, it is critical that we improve our operational efficiency in order to meet our daily production targets,” said Ms Zhang Ting, equipment supervisor, Production Engineering Department. The company’s product codes consist of a production date, expiry date and occasionally food additives that need to be changed on each line multiple times per day. With the interface, operators change messages very quickly and accurately, which helps optimise overall operational efficiency and ensures correct coding and marking on products.
