MTA Singapore to address medical technology sector

Singapore is increasingly being recognised as a centre for medical technology innovation. With internationally renowned medical technology companies setting up bases and manufacturing facilities here, dedicated infrastructure such as the Medtech Hub, Biopolis and Tuas Biomedical Park, as well as support from the electronics and precision engineering industry, the medical technology (medtech) sector has grown tremendously over the years.

Singapore manufactures a range of medical products, from syringes to research instruments to scientific analytical equipment. Currently, it is a global leader in medtech manufacturing, catering for 40 per cent of international demand for mass spectrometry instruments, over 70 per cent of the globe’s microarray and half of worldwide supply of thermal cyclers1.

Attuned to the latest developments and trends, MTA Singapore 2013, the pioneer precision engineering industry trade event in Asia, will be showcasing services, solutions and products for the medtech sector at the Singapore Expo from 9 – 12 April 2013. MTA Singapore 2013 will also unveil a Capabilities Hub – to meet the needs of local and international companies serving this sector.
