During the MTA show in Singapore, Stuart Wong, Business Development Director for Mikron Singapore Ptd Ltd talked about the innovative features of Mikron EcoLine achieve the perfect balance between standardized and custom assembly process to handle multiple product variants of all complexities in a single automated platform.

EcoLine is based on the use of standardized elements that offer flexibility and modularity. Each assembly cell can be easily configured with one to three modules, depending upon assembly needs. Integration of manual or automatic modules inside the same cell delivers great flexibility.
The primary motions of the assembly cell are cam driven, thus guaranteeing perfect synchronization between the working units and the pallet indexing mechanism. Fixtured pallets enter the cell and are advanced and indexed in steps of 120 or 240 mm depending upon the requirements. Each assembly step is followed by a systematic check to ensure continuous and consistent quality.
Working areas can be on both sides of the machine, which offers optimum use of floor space. The combination of manual working stations and automatic modules enables progressive investment from pilot line to fully automatic line.
