Together they gave details of the machining solutions offered by TaeguTec for hard-to-cut aerospace materials.
Singapore is positioned as Asia’s hub of choice for global aerospace manufacturers. The opening of various aviation and aerospace facility in Singapore, such as Rolls Royce facility last year is testament to the growing confidence manufacturing veterans have in Asia’s capabilities to manufacturing high-quality parts.
As a result, Taegutec highlighted its most efficient and effective products available for the aerospace industry during the MTA Singapore show. The company is developing new grades and tooling that specializes in machining hard-to-cut materials. As demand for high-speed and feed tools has increased to improve productivity, TaeguTec works closely with aerospace component manufacturers to further develop its highly productive cutting tools.
Today, materials and production technology is rapidly and continually changing; the use of hard-to-cut materials such as Titanium, Aluminium composites and CFRP has increased due to the lightweight demands of the aerospace industry.
TaeguTec’s has showcased its range of cutting tools at MTA 2013. Taking center stage is TaeguTec’s newest addition, the RhinoTurn series of inserts and holders. What makes the RhioTurn series different is its smaller size insert that is capable of outperforming conventional ISO inserts in general turning applications of 2-3 millimeter depth of cut. The idea behind the RhinoTurn line is to introduce a series of mini tuning inserts that meet the manufacturing industry’s needs of reduced machining costs and competiveness while keeping an eye on the environment.
In addition, Mr. Widodo said talked a little about the market in Indonesia which is also part of South East Asia and another business market for TaeguTec. He said that the biggest market industry in the country for cutting tools is the automotive parts. Demand comes from 2-wheel motorcycles and automobiles. He believes that promoting their latest technologies and products to various media, as well as joining tradeshows will help them in conveying their message to current and potential clients.
