Multi-sensor measuring machine
Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology has launched its latest product in South East Asia – O-INSPECT 322, a multi-sensor measuring machine that unites ZEISS contact scanning and optical measuring in one attractively priced machine. It is the smallest system with which Carl Zeiss is expanding the range of applications of its coordinate measuring machines. The VAST XXT probe enables precision probing with forces in the millinewton range. True 3D measurements that permit form and position statements are possible. O-INSPECT 322 also comes standard with the 12x telecentric Discovery zoom  lens  from  Microscopy.  Unlike conventional optics, the distance to the object is irrelevant in telecentrics. Test objects with different material thickness in the camera image can always be measured with the right imaging scale. The measuring range is also smaller – 300 x 200 x 200 mm, and more affordable. The system works reliably under varying ambient temperatures, thus can be deployed in locations with challenging climate conditions.
