Words from exhibitors

Brad Wang

Marketing Director

CHMER

Brad Wang, Marketing Director of CHMER said that MTduo is like a special sequel of TIMTOS, therefore the company kept the spirit and presented many new developments this time. He added that this exhibition is a very good exposure for CHMER and its products. With all the industrial buyers and experts attending the show, the company continually participates in both TIMTOS and MTduo. Concerning marketing, the company expressed its willingness to go out of Taiwan and participate in international trade fairs, and cooperate with TAITRA in specific projects, since the organisation is a great help in promoting Taiwanese business around the globe. In terms of exports, CHMER recognised mainland China as the main focus, about 60% of the company’s export activities go to this market.

Woody Wang

Managing Director

DMG MORI Taiwan

Woody Wang, Managing Director of DMG MORI Taiwan expressed his positive comments about the show since most of the visitors are industry experts. The company sees business opportunities in Taiwan and predicts further cooperation. Speaking of MTduo, Wang recognises it as a gateway into Taiwan’s machine tool market. Although the scale is not as large as TIMTOS, MTduo has a more local focus, whereas TIMTOS draws more international crowd. And because of the response from the local market during the 2012 show, the company decided to participate again this year. Furthermore, the first level of the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall where the MTduo was held is a preferred spot, as it allows machine tool manufacturers to bring in larger equipment and provide a wider scale of interesting live demonstrations, which is of highest interest for potential buyers. Lastly, Wang stated that the company will keep its presence in Taiwan and will continue bringing innovative technology to this important market.

Kyle Lo

CEO

SOCO Machinery Co, Ltd

CEO Kyle Lo said there is a very high potential market in laser cutting machines. The machine can save the costs of mold, which allows manufacturers to get their output in a short period of time by using a software, even if they are doing R&D or conducting manufacturing. During the on-site interview, Lo stated that the tradeshow gave them positive feedbacks. Being its first time to join MTduo, the company was pleased to meet many international buyers from Japan, South East Asia, and the Middle East, which according to him he has not experienced in TIMTOS. In the first two hours of day one, Lo said he spoke to people from various nations and he was quite impressed with the turn out. It just shows that MTduo is recognised as an exhibition known globally.
