The blade features a sub-micron grained carbide tip designed specifically for aluminum and non-ferrous metal. The tip is then given a precision grind for a highly polished rake face to prevent the buildup of material on the tooth edge.
The Cast Master blade also features a unique tooth geometry that cuts freely with limited feed force. The blade is engineered with an optimized rake angle and narrow kerf to reduce the amount of feed pressure needed by the operator. Even at the high band speeds typically associated with hand-fed foundry applications, the blade cuts smoothly and doesn’t grab or pull the casting. The multi-chip tooth design reduces cutting forces and limits vibration, to eliminate unnecessary fatigue on the saw operator. The advanced, high alloy backing steel increases the blade’s fatigue life and minimizes dangerous band breaks.
