MWCS 2012: Poised for stronger presence

 Some 600 exhibitors from home and abroad will take part to compete at two main sectors of metal forming and metal cutting, with over 100,000 visitors expected to attend the show.

As China’s industrial transformation deepens itself, the sheet metal industry is facing a great market opportunity. Under such background, MWCS is committed to going with the industrial trend and building up an all-round platform of comprehensive industrial solutions. Sheet metal will be a highlight this year by putting on China’s largest Metal Forming Hall of 30,000 square meters; the industry’s first customized summit on the process technology of sheet metal; as well as in-depth research on market segments to organize buyer groups.

A host of domestic and overseas famous manufacturers will appear at Metal Forming Hall. As loyal exhibitors of MWCS, Trumpf and AMADA are expanding their exhibition areas, exceeding 300 square meters each. Newcomers like LVD、IPG、GSI、Coherent、Technocut are all going to display their strength and win business through the exhibition. Many a famous brand is coming to premiere their latest products, such as P4XE of Salvagnini and TruPunch 5000 of Trumpf. The three-day summit on process technology of sheet metal, which is sponsored by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., will be concurrently held with MWCS 2012. This summit is a breakthrough event of its kind in China, with its discussion subjects covering the overall sheet-metal working industry like laser, bending, punch, CNC numerical control, water jet, sawing machine, straightening, welding, surface treatment, and sectional material. Specialized buyer clubs have been established to facilitate visitor management, by which point-to-point invitations of buyers from market segment are realized. According to the pre-registration result, some 3,500 buyers from industries of high-speed locomotive manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, telecom shells, chassis, cabinet, power transmission and distribution, electrical auxiliaries, electrical elevator, curtain wall, and OEM of sheet metal are expected to attend the summit.
